Clock in time from Morundah

SA 03 04825 B.C.H. 29 th Assoc Morundah, 2099 birds clocked on dark 12 hrs 34 mins. 945.466mpm

Hi my names Geoff, welcome to my web site established 08/11/2004.
I live in Adelaide, South Australia where i race my pigeons and have
done for the past 5 years. This year as a one off [ due to work comm ]
I flew in a partnership and considering the difficult season our
association has just experienced, we had a succesful year, finishing
10 th overall in the S.A.H.P.A. points [  309 members ]....
Our east line races this year were nearly all slow velocity races
and this suited the type of pigeon I  [ we ]  fly. Our best results were
Moulemien young bird derby, gaining 13th, 27th and 30th in the
association from 186 flyers, 2,255 birds competing, velocity1017 mpm.
Incidently, the hen that gained 27th place was an 11 minute trap,
possibly gaining 10th position. This was only her second start, her
first up effort was 3rd group from 222 birds  and 7th fastest velocity
in the association  976mpm, a classy young race hen.
Morundah open number 1 was undoubtedly the hardest race of the
year, with the 1,452 birds liberated doing it tough for the 714 km trip.
We clocked in a young hen on day 2 gaining 5th association with a
velocity of 683 mpm. She is a daughter of my 7th assoc Nyngan
who was placed at a velocity of  722 mpm, tough pigeons.
Our third most pleasing result for the season was from Temora, 830km.
With 700 birds released we clocked next day gaining 12th, 25th and 28th
assoc, velocity 810 mpm. Other pleasing results were 36th assoc from
Morundah 2/  859 mpm, and 13th assoc Marla 956 km velocity 1086mpm.
Through a friend in Ballarat I entered 6 birds in the Gold Cup race also
and was placed  20th and 40th overall  from Coombah 540km and 8 1/2
hours. A friend of mine finished 3rd overall with a cock bird bred down
off  a hen of mine. Handy bit of pocket money.  I am really pleased with
the family of pigeons I am establishing being fairly new to the sport.
My stock bloodlines are predominately Peter Matthews [ SOUTH OZ ],
Jim Cox,  some Goodger, Whickam and Pryor.
UPDATE 2005.....    The above pigeon B.C.H sa 02 04825 had a year off
due to me flying from a different loft, but this year she is back on the
track and so far has flown Paruna 200km being my 2nd bird home, then
Paruna again being my 3rd bird home and Ouyen 337 km being my
clock pigeon gaining 3rd club, 5th group.  Racing on.
Update....  the race I had her set for which was the Kingston 8 bird special
was postponed due to weather conditions so I made the decision to retire
her to the breeding loft, hoping her offspring are as consistent as her......
